Business automation starts with understanding how work moves between people. My experience includes building sales and lead infrastructure with Dooorbell and developing internal systems for real estate operations. My background describes this work alongside the AI consulting practice I founded at Juracich.
Describe the handoff before the automation
A lead workflow is more than a form submission. Someone needs to receive the record, decide whether it is relevant, follow up, and understand what happened. If those stages are unclear, automating them can make the confusion happen faster.
A useful starting document names the trigger, the required information, the owner of the next step, and the condition that means the work is complete. This makes it possible to identify a specific handoff that software can improve.
Choose where AI is actually useful
Some tasks need a reliable rule: assign a record to a team, send an approved notification, or update a status. Others involve less structured material, such as summarizing notes or preparing a draft. Those are different engineering problems.
For an AI-assisted workflow, the proposed output needs a defined destination and review process. A draft response should be distinguishable from a message that has already been sent. A suggested classification should not silently become a verified fact.
Permissions and recovery belong in the plan
Connected systems need limits on what they can read and change. They also need an answer for interruption: if an external service is unavailable, can the task resume without creating duplicate records or repeating an action?
These questions make the implementation concrete. They connect API and data design to the day-to-day experience of a person relying on the tool. A visible queue or review screen can be as important as the automation itself.
A focused first project
Bring one repetitive process, an example of the information it uses, and the systems it touches. That is enough to begin separating work that can be automated from decisions that should remain with the team. It also gives the project a practical success criterion: whether that specific process becomes easier to complete and audit.
